u16 Holiday Practices

To all under 16 boys who are not away for the holidays! An opportunity to hone your skills with extra practices during the holidays.

Coach has set up the following times for practices at the Bellville Astro Turf:

Wed 1 July @ 1 - 2 pm
Thurs 2 July @ 3 - 4 pm

Mon 6 July @ 10 - 11 am
Wed 8 July @ 10 - 11 am
Thurs 9 July @ 10 - 11 am

u19B drew 0 - 0 against Tygerberg High

u16A won 4 - 1 against Tygerberg
u16B drew 0 - 0 against Khayelitsha

u14A won 10 - 0 against Tygerberg High
u14B won 6 - 1 against Central

u16B vs Khayelitsha

On Wednesday, 17 June our u16B team played against a community team from Khayelitsha. Many of the boys from Khayelitsha looked as if they should be playing at u14 level, but they showed such determination. Their coach, Gloria Baartman said, "The boys just want to play hockey. It doesn't matter what the age."

There was juice for all the players at half time and, at the end of the match, juice to take home for our opponents. The boys from Khayelitsha also received a small towel and a beanie in their team colours.

It was good to see so many parents supporting the team at a mid-week game. All in all an enjoyable afternoon was spent on and around the hockey field.

Despite the rain of the last few days we were able to play Pinelands on their grounds.

The u14A & u14B matches were cancelled.

Go to www.google.com/calendar (or click here)

Click on "Create an account"

Complete the data required on the form and then click "I accept. Create my account"

You can now go back to www.google.com/calendar and open you account using your email and password.

Once your calendar is open click on"settings" on the left under "Other calendars".
Click on "Import calendars" in the middle of the block.
Click on "Friends' calendars" at the top.
Then enter "flavia@buttner.co.za" and click on "add".

This will now import the Stellies Boys' Hockey Calendar into your calendar with all the updated information.
