3. Cancellation of practices
• Cancellation of practices / changing of practice times will be the
exception and will be communicated via the team manager.
• Practices continue – rain or shine.
• Matches will not be cancelled until at the field – hockey is a
winter sport.

4. A player who arrives late
At a practice: The coach will make him run.
At a match: The latecomer will be benched and, possibly, be allowed to
play in the last 15 minutes of the match.

5. Afwesigheid tydens ‘n oefening

6. Afwesigheid tydens wedstryde
Indien ‘n speler sonder ‘n geldige rede afwesig is vir ‘n wedstryd, sal hy
nie aan die volgende wedstryd deelneem nie.

No swearing.

No aggressive tackling.
No fighting with team mates or opponents.
No unsavoury remarks are to be made to fellow players, opponents, umpires or spectators.
Such behavior will lead to the player being dropped from the team for two weeks.
Receiving a red card is an embarrassment for the school and is viewed as letting the team down. This too will be dealt with by dropping the player from the team for two weeks.

8. After a match
The players must:
• thank the referee;
• congratulate their opponents;
• thank the coach.

9. Borgskappe

Each team is expected to watch at least one other team’s match.
The u14s are strongly encouraged to watch the u19s play in order to support the first team and learn from them.
